Health department plays a central role in district-level health administration, led by the District Medical Officer (DMO). Ensuring affordable, high-quality health services, the DMO maintains professional standards across health services. Additionally, National Health Programmes under the National Health Mission (NHM) are implemented and monitored by District Programme Officers (DPOs) in coordination with the DMO.
